About San Jose City Hall
You can rent space at San José City Hall for
your special event. City Hall in downtown San José is a landmark building
that reflects the pride and stature of San José, the 10th largest city
in the United States. Our City Hall is intended to serve as a hub of civic and
cultural activity, with an active program of indoor and outdoor special events
including banquets, dinners, performances, weddings, lectures or other similar
activities for the purposes of celebration, education or cultural enrichment.
Special Events:
SCity Hall is extremely versatile and can accommodate a wide range of events
you may be planning. Organizations or individuals may reserve our glass-domed
Rotunda, a public gallery space stretching 110 feet high to support elegant receptions,
weddings and banquets; lectures and presentations. In our Wing, we are also offering
our Council Chambers and a series of Committee Rooms that can be used separately
or combined to make a larger event space, ideal for small receptions and dinners.
If
you are looking for an outdoor venue, three areas on our outdoor Plaza may be
reserved, including our Bamboo Courtyard located on the southern edge of the
City Hall complex, or the west or east Plaza areas, right off of the Rotunda.
The Bamboo Courtyard is bordered by a planting area of Henon Black Bamboo; an
ideal space for a pre-event reception or small dinner.
Plan a Meeting:
San José City Hall features several meeting rooms
for the public to use. Featuring the latest in technology, the Council Chambers
offers two, large projection screens, each measuring 24 feet wide by 18 feet
tall, located above the dais, designed to encourage audience participation. The
Council Chambers feature theater-style seating, enhancing visibility for the
audience.
Also available for public use are the committee meeting rooms located in the
Wing. They are adjacent meeting rooms that can be used separately or combined
to make a larger meeting space.
