MANAGEMENT ANALYST II - Equipment Management Unit
DUTIES:
To provide professional and analytical assistance to the Equipment Management
Unit Manager; budget development; analyze, change and recommend budget adjustments;
calculate vehicle/equipment usage charges; run, monitor and analyze PeopleSoft/
Cognos reports for budget activities; develop vehicle specifications for all
new vehicles and equipment; set up vendor demonstrations; meet with internal
customers to seek specification input; modify and analyze existing Maximo reports;
create PB Views performance measures and analyze data; perform fleet benchmarking
studies with other comparator agencies; analyze auto counter outsourcing invoices;
forecast and analyze fuel costs and annual fleet mileage and recommend budget
adjustments; develop specifications for fuel management system replacement, conduct
analyses of assigned program policies and procedures and make recommendations
for improvement; and perform a variety of analytical duties relative to assigned
area of responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years of increasingly responsible analytical experience equivalent
to the level of Management Analyst I (or a total of three years of
experience) and Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an
accredited college or university with major course work in public
administration, business administration, accounting, finance, or a
related field. Directly related experience may be substituted for the
college requirement on the basis of one and one-half years of experience
for one year of education to a maximum of four years.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California
driver’s license may be required with determinations made on a case by
case basis. Prior to appointment, candidates will be required to
successfully complete a medical examination.

SALARY:
$6,442.80 - $7,848.53 per month—Based on a five-step salary plan
Includes District payment of 8% PERS-Public Employees’ Retirement
System
