Written by Cesar Plata, Founder infoBayArea.com, muyBueno.net

Cesar is passionate about connecting people. He understands and shares with others the reality that lack of communication and interaction within our community prevents us from fully utilizing the numerous resources to help empower and improve ourselves. Cesar feels many Latinos do business in a familial manner - we usually stay within our 'comfort zone' and only connect with our family and friends. He feels that we need to learn to NETWORK - we must be willing and able to talk, do business, and connect with different people at different levels, within our community and beyond! Although Latinos often do business by developing long-term relationships with few people, we can and must learn to be much more effective, efficient, proactive, productive, by simply expanding our horizons and networking! Cesar's mentor, Rick Mellor, taught him that networking is not an event, it is a process in which you never know which contact will take you to your goal.

Muybueno.net hosts monthly networking events, seminars and socials throughout the Bay Area. This website (which can also be reached at infobayarea.com) has become Northern California's premier networking organization reaching out to, but not exclusively, to Latino Professionals. Muybueno.net has successfully positioned itself with thousands of online subscribers, extensive media coverage, a series of online services, a resource center for businesses and the community, and a virtual and real gathering for professionals, students, and the community at large.

Cesar feels the best business is personal business. He truly 'connects' with most people he meets. He has been recognized as a "master networker' and encourages people to utilize all available resources, online and offline, to do business, volunteer, promote education, and help each other. Cesar's philosophy is quite simple - "A key to success is not what you know, or who you know, it's who knows you!" Make a name for yourself, do what is right, and allow your reputation and efforts to precede you. Also, let's utilize our culture, language, resources and education to connect and empower ourselves and others.
